Full Journal pdf1997-03-06 Senate Journal Page 0604 SB 7 Senator Mackie requested that the reconsideration on CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 7(RLS) An Act reducing certain resident sport fishing, hunting, and trapping license fees, increasing certain nonresident sport fishing license and tag fees, and relating to nonresident sport fishing and hunting licenses and tags; and providing for an effective date be taken up. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 7(RLS) was before the Senate on reconsideration. Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator Mackie was required to vote. Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. 1997-03-06 Senate Journal Page 0605 SB 7 Senator Mackie offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 12: Delete "(C) For one-day license 10" Insert "(C) For three-day license 20 (D) For one-day license 10" Page 2, line 16, following "proof of": Insert "either" Page 2, line 17, following "services": Insert "or employment as a fishing guide by a person who holds a current business license under AS 43.70 to provide sport fish guide services" Page 3, lines 13 and 14: Delete "(B) for a seven-day ªTHREE-DAYß tag 30 ª15ß (C) for a 14-day ªOR ANNUALß tag 50 ª35ß." Insert "(B) for a three-day tag 20 ª15ß (C) for a seven-day tag 30 (D) for a 14-day ªOR ANNUALß tag 50 ª35ß." Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Senator Kelly objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 7(RLS) am was automatically in third reading. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered and the bill was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
